qIf you spill or drop anything into the cabinet, unplug the Digital Satellite Receiver and have it checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.

qOperate the Digital Satellite Receiver only on 120 V AC.

qFor detailed safety precautions, see the “Important Safeguards” leaflet that came with the Digital Satellite Receiver.

qThe Digital Satellite Receiver continues to draw power from the AC power source as long as it is connected to the wall outlet, even if the Digital Satellite Receiver itself has been turned off.

qIf you are not going to use the Digital Satellite Receiver for a long time, be sure to disconnect the Digital Satellite Receiver from the wall outlet and cancel your programming subscription. To disconnect the AC power cord, grasp the plug itself; never pull the cord.

qTo further protect the Digital Satellite Receiver from damage caused by lightning or power surges, connect a power surge protector to your telephone line, AC power cord, and external antennas.

qOne blade of the plug is wider than the other for the purpose of safety and will fit into the wall outlet only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, contact your dealer.

qIf the AC power cord gets damaged and needs to be replaced, have it done at a qualified service shop only.

qPlace the Digital Satellite Receiver in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent heat build-up in the Digital Satellite Receiver and prolong the life of the Digital Satellite Receiver.

qDo not place the Digital Satellite Receiver in a location where it will be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Avoid direct sunlight and do not place near heat sources.

qDo not place the Digital Satellite Receiver in a location subject to excessive dust or mechanical vibration. Protect from vibration at all times.

qDo not place anything on top of the Digital Satellite Receiver, which might block the ventilation holes and cause malfunctions.

qBefore connecting other components, be sure to turn off and unplug the Digital Satellite Receiver.

qClean the cabinet, panel, and controls with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, scouring powder, or solvent such as alcohol or benzine.

qKeep the original cartons and packing materials to safely transport the equipment in the future.
