Find Blank Space

This function is useful for finding out the blank space on each cassette and recording a new programme there.

Perform steps 1 to 2 of “Check Memory” on page 42 before continuing.

A Access the Find Blank Space screen.

Press rt to move the highlight bar (pointer) to “FIND BLANK SPACE”, then press OK.

B Select the tape number.

Press rt to move the highlight bar (pointer) to the tape number on which you want to record a programme, then press OK.

The calculated blank space is based on the current tape speed (SP, LP or EP) selected on the recorder.

If the selected cassette has already been loaded, the recorder searches the beginning of the blank space and goes into the stop mode automatically.

C Load a cassette.

Insert the cassette whose number is displayed on the screen.

The recorder searches the beginning of the blank space and goes into the stop mode automatically.

NOTE:

The recorder may not go into the stop mode right on the beginning of the selected blank space.
