NOTES:

If you have made a component video connection and your TV’s component video connectors support only high definition signal format, connect also the S-VIDEO or VIDEO connectors between the VCR and TV in order to view the picture of 480i image format output from the VCR.

Through the component video connection and if your TV’s component video connectors support only the progressive video input and not high definition video input, you can set “TV OUTPUT 2” to “ALLto480p” (A page 65) or “480i to 480p” to “ON”

(A page 65) to enjoy high quality picture.

The progressive mode indicator [q] on the front display panel will light up when the video output is in progressive mode.

Use the commercially available i.LINK cable (4-pin, S400, below 3m). If the cable used is above 3m, this VCR will not fully maximize its performance.

To connect the antenna for the Digital Set Top Box, refer to the instruction manual for Digital Set Top Box.
