1Current status of the unit

p : Appears when a disc or a tape playback is paused.

Appears also during step by step playback.

P : Appears when playing back a disc or a tape.

p P : Appears during slow forward or slow

revese playback.

: Appears when the timer programming or one-touch timer recording (OTR) is set and is operating.

Flashes when all the timer programmes are finished.

Flashes when there is an error in programming.

REC: Appears when recording.

Flashes when recording being paused.

REPEAT:

Appears during repeat playback (only for

disc playback).

: Appears when a tape is in the unit.

2Disc type and Current status of the unit

CD: Appears when an Audio CD or a disc with MP3 / JPEG / KODAK PICTURE CD files recorded is inserted into the unit.

VCD: Appears when a Video CD is inserted into the unit.

DVD: Appears when a DVD is inserted into the unit, or when recording or the timer- standby mode.

Flashes when switch to the timer-standby mode while programming cannot set.

DVD R:

Appears when a DVD-R disc is inserted into the unit.

DVD RW:

Appears when a DVD-RW disc is inserted into the unit.

VCR: Appears when the timer recording is proceeding in VCR.

Appears when VCR is in the timer- standby mode.

Flashes when switch to the timer-standby mode while programming cannot set.

VCRDVD:

Appears during VCR to DVD duplication process.

VCRDVD:

Appears during DVD to VCR duplication process.

3Recording speed

Selected recording speed appears during recording or in stop mode.

Recording speed appears during VCR playback.

4Title / Track and Chapter mark

: Title / track number.

: Chapter number.

5Displays the following

Playing back time / remaining time

Current title / chapter / track number

Recording time

Clock

Channel number

VCR tape counter

One-touch timer recording (OTR) remaining time

Display messages

The disc tray is open.

The PBC function of the Video CD is activated.

The disc tray is closing.

A disc is inserted into the unit.

Data is being recorded on a disc.
