1.3. THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT (RCU)

The EchoStar Quattro is a programmable RCU that also can control your TV, VCR, DVD and/or Audio set. The EchoStar Quattro requires two AA/R6 alkaline batteries to operate.

ON/STANDBY

To switch to standby or on.

VCR

To control the VCR.

TV

To control the TV.

EPG

To view the EPG.

MENU

To go to the installation menu.

VOL+

To increase the volume.

VOL-

To decrease the volume.

ARROW CLUSTER

To scroll left, up, right or down.

EXIT

To leave a menu or feature.

PAGE+

To go one page up.

PAGE -

To go one page down.

ALT AUDIO

To choose a language.

ALT SUBTITLE

To choose a subtitle.

STOP

To stop the recording or play back of an event;

To return to actual time in the EPG window

REWIND

To go to the beginning of an recorded event fastly.

RECORD (press twice) To record a live program.

SKIP BACKWARD Not used for Sat-mode.

GREEN

To select a (favorites) list.

RED

To go to another mode.

NUMBER KEYS

To enter numerical settings; To type in a channel number.

TV/RAD

To switch to TV or Radio mode.

MUTE

To blank out the volume.

AUX

To control the Audio Set or DVD.

SAT

To control the receiver.

To view the InfoBanner; To view detailed EPG information.

Satellite Dish

To select another satellite.

CH+

To go one channel up.

CH-

To go one channel down.
