6.3. REAL-TIME MACROS

This feature allows you to program a macro on any key. With a macro you can assign a chain of key strokes to any key on the RCU, also on a mode key. The macros are recorded and played real-time, which means the actual time between key strokes will also be recorded.

6.3.1. DEFINE A MACRO

NOTE

You have to complete the macro within a maximum of 8 key strokes.

If a mode key is used within a macro then all keys pressed after this mode key will follow that mode until another mode key is pressed.

Nested macros are not possible, in other words you cannot start another macro within a macro.

1.On the RCU, press the SAT key continuously until the indicator stays on.

2.Release the SAT key and make sure the indicator blinks continuously.

3.Use the numerical keys to enter code 9 9 5 and note that the indicator stays on.

4.Choose and press the key which you want to assign for the macro. This can be any key, but after the recording it’s original function is lost.

5.Immediately program the macro as required, after the final key stroke press the SAT key for three seconds to close the macro. Note that the indicator blinks three times.

6.Now the macro is recorded successfully and ready for use.

6.3.2.PLAY BACK A MACRO

If a macro is recorded under any key, not being a mode key, press the key and the macro plays back, for a macro under a mode key you have to press the key twice within two seconds.

6.3.3.DELETE A MACRO

1.On the RCU, press the SAT key continuously until the indicator stays on.

2.Release the SAT key and make sure the indicator blinks continuously.

3.Use the numerical keys to enter code 9 9 5 and note that the indicator stays on.

4.Choose and press the key for the macro that you want to delete.

6.4. FACTORY RESET

You can do either a functional reset which means that all personal programs as volume lock and real-time macros are lost. All equipment codes will remain.

A full factory reset is done if you want to delete all personal programming as well as the equipment codes. This procedure will return the factory settings which you can customize later.
