Display window

This player shows On-Screen Display messages on the screen of the TV set to which the DVD player is connected, as well as those on the display window of the unit.

The On-Screen Display messages, which accompany each operation of the unit, make operation simple and easy especially when playing DVDs or video CDs. They are also displayed when pressing the ON SCREEN DISPLAY ON /OFF button on the remote control.

The instructions in this manual refer mainly to the On-Screen Display messages.

1Operating status indicator

Rotates when loading and playing back a disc.

2VCD indicator

Lights when a Video CD is loaded.

3CD indicator

Lights when a CD is loaded.

4DVD indicator

Lights when a DVD is loaded.

5TITLE indicator

The title number indicates the number of the title being played during a DVD playback.

6CHP/TRK indicator

The chapter number indicates the number of the chapter being played during a DVD playback.

"PBC" is displayed and the CHP/TRK indicator disappears when a Video CD that supports PBC is loaded.

The total number of tracks in stop mode and the

number of the track being played during a playback are displayed, when a CD or Video CD that does not support PBC is loaded.

7 PROG. indicator

Lights during a programmed playback.

8 RANDOM indicator

Lights during a random playback.

9ALL A}B repeat indicator

}: One track is played back repeatedly.

ALL}: All tracks on the disc are played back repeatedly.

A}B: A desired portion is played back repeatedly.

0 Time counter

The total playing time of a Video CD or CD is displayed during stop mode. (The total playing time is not displayed when a DVD or MP3 disc is loaded.)

The elasped time of the chapter or track is displayed.

! ANGLE indicator

Blinks when a multi-angle scene comes on during a DVD playback.

@MP3 indicator

Lights when an MP3 disc is loaded.
