Time and Date

The VCRgivesyou two ways to set the time and date:the Auto ClockFeatureor manually .The Auto ClockFeature enablesthe VCRto updatethe clockeachtime the VCRis turned off. Auto Clockis advantageousbecauseit updates the time automatically .

Beforesettingthe time and date,setthe Auto DST (Daylight - SavingTime)featureto ON or OFFfor your area .

Auto Clock Set Feature

The Auto ClockSet featureis set to ON at the factory.In the ON setting,the VCRlooksfor a channelcarryingXDS (ExtendedDataServices)information.XDS updatesthe clockusingthe CoordinatedUniversalTime .Thereare certainstepsthat are required,suchas Auto Channel Search,settingthe TlmeZone,and DaylightSavingfeature beforethe Auto Clockfeatureworks.

Setting the Time Zone
