Step l: What'sfn the Box?

Step 2: Install Batteries in the

Remote Control

Followthesestepswheneveryou needto installor change the batteriesin your VCR'sremote:

1. Removethe cover of the batterycompartment.

2. Placethe batteriesinto the remote'sbackpanel.Match the positive(+)and negative( - ) ends of eachbatteryto the diagraminsidethe batterycompartment .

3. Replacethe cover.

Step 3: Connect the VCR

lf you connectyour VCRto your home antennaor cable systemand then to your TV,usethe VCR'sANT.lN and OUT TO TV jacksfor a good signalas shown to the right.

lf you havea TV with AUDIO/IDEOjacks,usethe jacksfor

abetterconnection.Referto the section,Connections, toward the backof the manual,for additionalconnection options .

Step 4: Plug in the VCR

YourVCR'spower cord hasa plasticband strungthrough the blades.Remove plastic band before plugging the cord into the power outlet. To remove band,cut with a pair of scissorsand pull it free of the blades .Oncethe plasticis removed,matchthe wide bladeof the power cord to the wide slot in the AC outlet.Be sureto insertthe plug completely .
