Step 5: Tune the TV

Tunethe TV to the VCRviewingchannel .The VCRviewing channelis channel3 or 4 or the TV'svideo input .

. lf you connectyour VCRusingthe ANT .lN and OUTTO TV jackswith RFcoaxialcable,set the CH3CH4switch to channel3 or channel4 - the channelyou want to use on your TV.

. lf you connectyour VCRusingthe AUDIOA/IDEOjacks

with audio/videocables,selectthe TV'svideo input with the remote'sTV and INPUTbuttonsto seethe signal .See "How to FindYourTV'sVideoInput Channel"in the Referencessectionof this manualfor more informationaboutvideo line input .

Step 6: Turn on the VCR

PressPOWERon the VCR'sfront panelor VCRon the remoteto turn on the VCR .The firsttime you turn the VCR on, a menu screenappearsThis. is the startof an initial setupwhich helpsyou set differentoptionsfor your VCR .

Step 7: Use the QuickSet Guide for Initial Setup

The first on - screenmenu duringthe initialset up asks which languageyou preferto usefor your VCR .Usethe remotecontrol'snumberbuttonsto selectoptions .

When using the ANT.INand OUT TO TV jacks to connect the VGR,tune the TV to channel3 or 4 (whichever isn'tusedfor local broadcasting). The CH3CH4switch on the back of the VGRdetermineswhich TV channel is used to see the VGR's output. Use the same channelthat the TV is tuned to.

When using the Audio/Video jacks to connectthe VGR,tune the TV to its video input channel using the INPUTbutton on the VCR'sremote control (make sure you have sefected "TY" on the remote first).
