If the hood is open or if the brake pedal is pressed, the vehicle will not remote start. The remote start shuts down:

ssWhen the brake pedal is pressed. ss The hood is opened.

ss When the remote start command is sent again from a remote control.

To drive your vehicle after it has been remote started:

1.'ETEIN WITHOUT STEPPINGOON THE BRAKEP

2.Insert the ignition key and turn it to the ON position.

3.Now, step on the brake.

The remote control will play the remote start shutdown tone. You have now taken direct control from the remote start system.
