MARKER Button

Press to set a Marker, which gives you quick access to points you select on a Disc. Details are on page 54.

SUBTITLE Button

Press to select a language for DVD subtitles. Details are on page 55.

REPEAT Button

Press to play a Track, Audio CD,Title, or Chapter repeat- edly. Details are on page 53.

DVD Button

Press before using the remote control for DVD features.

Arrow s BKL Buttons Press to select an item in the DVD Player Setup menu or in the DVD Disc menu.

POWER y Button Press to turn the power on and off.

ANGLE Button

A-B REPEAT Button

Press to set up A-B Repeat. Details are on page 53.

RETURN Button

Press to return to the previ- ous DVD Player’s Setup menu or to remove the Setup menu.

OK Button

Press to confirm or select DVD Player menu items.

PLAY B (o) Button Press to begin Disc or tape playback. Press to select an item in the VCR menu.

TIMER SET Button

Press to set a timer recording. Details are on page 36.

Number Buttons

In DVD mode, press to select a Track or Chapter for Disc playback. Details are on pages 50-51.Press to set up a Program. Details are on page 60. In VCR mode, use to set up VCR features or to select TV channels. Enter channel num- bers as a two-digit number for the quickest results (to select channel 6, press 0,6). Otherwise, there may be a brief delay. For channels 100 and above, enter a three-digit number (for channel 117, press 1, 1, 7). If you have Cable TV, channels 1-125 are available. If you have an antenna, channels 2-69 are available.

The +10 button has no effect in VCR mode.

In DVD mode, press to fast forward the Disc. Details are on page 49. Press when DVD playback is paused to start slow motion playback. Details are on page 59.

In VCR mode, press to fast forward the tape. Details are on page 42. Press to go to the next VCR menu or to change a VCR menu item.

ZOOM Button

Press to enlarge the DVD pic- ture. Details are on page 59.

DISPLAY/STATUS/EXIT Button

In VCR mode, press to access or remove the VCR’s on- screen status display. Details are on page 30. Press to exit on-screen VCR menus.

In DVD mode, press to access Disc information. Details are on page 65.

Helpful Hints

For DVD Player features, press the DVD button first before pressing other buttons.To make sure the DVD/VCR is in DVD mode, press OUTPUT SELECT so the red DVD light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR.

For VCR features, press the VCR button before pressing any other buttons.To make sure the DVD/VCR is in VCR mode, press OUTPUT SELECT so the green VIDEO light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR.
