ATurn on the TV to the correct programme number for the recorder (e.g. ‘EXT’, ‘0’, ‘AV’).

BTurn on the recorder and press TIMER on the remote control.

The timer menu appears.

CSelect { Timer Setup } in the menu and press OK.

The timer setup menu appears.

previous/next entry field.

{Programme }

Select the TV channel or the correct external input (EXT1, EXT2, CAM1 or CAM2) if you want to make the recording from an external connected device.

{Date }

Enter the date for recording (Day/Month).

{Time-Start }

Enter the start time of recording (hours : minutes).

{Time-End }

Enter the end time of recording (hours : minutes).

{Repeat }

Press OK, use keys to select a desired repeat recording setting (None, Mo~Fr, Weekly).

{VPS/PDC }

Press OK to activate () or deactivate ( ) the VPS/PDC setting, see page 34 for more information.

EOnce complete, select { Continue } in the menu and press OK.

The timer list menu appears.

To exit Press TIMER

FPress TIMER to confirm and exit the menu.

The ‘TIMER’ icon will light up on the display panel if a timer recording is set.

If the recorder is not in standby mode, a notification message will appear before the timer recording begins. If you ignore the message, the timer recording will not start unless you have switched to the respective channel.

TIPS: Set the appropriate recording mode for HDD recording. The same recording mode will be used for recording from HDD to a recordable DVD, see page 29.
