Troubleshooting (continued)

Problem

Solution

Not able to access the

{Setup } option to change the tuner settings.

Some recordings listed on the HDD menu cannot be played or copied to disc.

Not able to erase the contents in a DVD±RW which was recorded on another recorder for use on this recorder.

1)

Press DVD and followed by STOP .

2)

Press SETUP to see a list of Setup Menu options.

Press to select { Setup } in the menu and press OK.

Some TV broadcasts or videos from external devices which are recorded to this recorder may contain copy protection signals. These cannot be played back from the HDD or copied to a recordable DVD.

The copy protected recordings are marked with the icon C in the HDD menu. They are either fully protected (copy never) or partially protected (copy once). For partially protected recording, playback is possible but once copied to a recordable DVD, the recording will be removed from the HDD.

Open the disc tray, place the DVD±RW on the disc tray and hold down the CLEAR button until the disc tray closes. You can start recording on the DVD±RW now.

Note: If you open the disc tray or turn the recorder off and on before any recording being made, you must repeat the above steps before using the DVD±RW for recording on this recorder.
