Press SETUP to save and exit.

This is to prohibit viewing of discs that had exceeded the limits you set. Before you can set the parental level or country, you must set a four-digit pin code. Press OK to access.

{ Enter Code } – When doing this for the first time, use the numeric keypad 0-9on the remote control to enter any four-digit you prefer. You must enter the same pin code a second time to confirm it.

 

– If you forget your four-digit pin code, press

 

STOP „ four times to revert to default pin code

 

‘0000’ and enter any four-digit you prefer.

{ Level }

– It works only on the DVDs with parental level

 

assigned to the complete disc or to certain scenes

 

on the disc. Use W X keys to select a rating level

 

from 1 to 8. The ratings are country-dependent

 

(‘1’ is considered material that is least offensive

 

and ‘8’ is most offensive). DVDs that are rated

 

higher than the level you selected will not play

 

unless you enter your four-digit pin code.

 

– To disable parental controls and allow all discs to

 

play, select ‘0ff’.

– The Parental control levels depend on the

 

country in which the DVD was manufactured.

 

Therefore, it is necessary to select a geographic

 

area as the playback limitation level.

Status Display

 

Display the information about the current state of the recorder. Press OK

 

 

to select:

 

 

 

 

 

– The current operating information will be

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

displayed for few seconds.

 

 

 

 

 

– Turns off the status display.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resume

 

With this feature, you can resume playback of the disc from where it last

 

 

stopped. This applies to the last 20 DVDs,Video CDs and HDD titles you

 

 

played. Press OK to select:

 

 

 

 

 

– Turns on auto resume mode.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

– The disc will always start from the beginning

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

when you load a disc or start playback.

 

 

 

 

 

Low Power Standby

 

This is an energy saving mode. Press OK to select:

 

 

 

 

 

– When you switch the recorder to standby mode,

 

 

 

 

 

the display panel will turn blank to save power.

 

 

 

 

 

– Clock will display on the recorder’s display panel

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

when switching off to standby mode.

 

 

This option is only visible when you load a DVD±R/±RW that was
