Viewing a Picture in Slow to Fast Motion

During tape playback or Still mode, press the JOG/SHTL (shuttle) button on the remote control. The JOG/SHTL button

will light.

Next, turn the outer ring (the Shuttle ring) in either direc- tion. The farther the ring is rotated, the faster the search speed. Releasing the ring stops the picture in the Still mode.

Or, turn the inner dial (the Jog Dial) in either direction. The tape will move frame-by-frame at the speed with which the dial is turned.

Press the PLAY 8 button to return to normal playback.

Helpful Hints

The JOG/SHTL button will remain lit for 60 seconds if no buttons are pressed.

You can use the Shuttle Ring/Jog Dial on the front of the VCR in the same manner as the Shuttle Ring/Jog Dial on the remote control. The JOG/SHTL button is not necessary when using the Shuttle Ring/Jog Dial on the VCR.

The Shuttle Ring/Jog Dial on the remote control will only operate when the JOG/SHTL button is lit.
