4 Preparation
VCAUTION!
Make sure you observe the safety notes in the chapter “Safety instruc- tions” on page 11ff.
ÊExit all applications and shut down the server properly.
ÊIf your operating system has not switched off the server, press the On/Off button.
ÊUnplug the power plugs from the grounded power outlets.
4.1Opening the server

ÊUndo the knurled screws (1) and pull the server carefully out of the rack (2) as far as possible.
ÊIn the majority of cases it makes sense to remove the server from the rack.
IHow to remove the server from the rack cabinet is described in the operating manual.
