Drag and Drop

This method of computer operation uses a mouse. Specifically, it refers to moving data or files using your mouse. With the mouse pointer over the desired file icon or other symbol shown on the screen, press the mouse button and move the mouse (drag) while holding down the button, and then release the button (drop) when the icon reaches the target location.

Similarly, you can drag and drop the desired data in a desired location (My Computer, etc.) of the computer into the folder (camera), thereby copying the data to the folder.

During the Copy process (communication), the viewfinder lamp (red) on the camera blinks continuously. Never disconnect the USB cable or touch the camera (interface cover, control panel, MODE button, MENU button, shutter, etc.) while the viewfinder lamp is blinking. Doing so may damage the stored data.

All data copied to the folder (camera) is deleted by Formatting P74 . Exercise caution.

Folder/File Naming Rules

The HDC-401EX will assign folder and file names automatically according to the following rules.
