Use of Symbols
Various symbols are used throughout this user manual. They are designed to help you understand the correct use of the product and to protect you, other persons and property from danger and damage. Their conventions and meanings are explained below.
Please understand the meaning of each symbol before reading the main text.
The following symbols/words are used to indicate the degree of danger or the extent of damage
that may result from use that is contrary to the given instructions.
Do not place the camera on an unstable surface.
The camera may tip over or drop, causing bodily injury.
Protect the camera against entry of water or foreign substances.
If water or a foreign subject should enter the camera, remove the batteries immediately. Continuing to use the camera may cause a short circuit, resulting in fire or electric shock. ● Consult the store from which you purchased the camera.
Do not use the camera in a bath or shower.
Fire or electric shock may result.
Never attempt to disassemble or modify the camera (never open the case). If you should accidentally drop the camera or otherwise break the case, do not use the camera.

Warning
Remove the batteries in case of an abnormality.
Continuing to use the camera in an abnormal condition, such as if it should emit smoke or give off an odor, may result in fire or electric shock.

Never take pictures while moving.
Do not take pictures while walking, driving a car or riding any other vehicle. You may trip and fall, or a traffic accident may result.

Do not mix batteries of different types or use a combination of old and new batteries. Do not use batteries other than the specified types.

Be aware of the hazards associated with alkaline batteries.
If the fluid from an alkaline battery should come in contact with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse away the fluid under running water and seek medical attention. The failure to do so may result in blindness or other bodily injury.
Do not attempt to disassemble, process or heat the batteries. Do not drop the batteries or otherwise subject them to impact. Do not attempt to recharge lithium batteries or alkaline batteries. Do not store the batteries together with metal objects.
The batteries may rupture and explode, causing fire or bodily injury.
Do not use the batteries in any manner not specified in this manual.
Set the batteries by aligning their polarities ( , ) as specified.
