●Be careful when taking against-the-light pictures because the Remote Control Switch may not function if direct light enters the camera’s Remote Control Sensor. You may have to use the Self- timer in such cases.

●The Remote Control Switch’s battery will last about three years (as tested according to Fujifilm’s battery testing procedure). If the battery runs out, you can always ask your dealer to replace it for you.

4. Effective switch range (Fig. 34)

The effective range of the Remote Control Switch is about five meters when held directly in front of the camera, and up to 3.5 meters when aimed at the camera at a 20° angle from all sides (left, right, above, and below).

■Carrying the remote control switch (Fig. 35) Just pass the camera strap though the groove (see arrow in the illustration) in the Switch Holder and carry it together with the camera.
