3.Insert 2 batteries into the recorder correctly as shown in the diagram below, while paying attention to the polarity displays (q: plus, and w: minus).

4.Close the battery compartment.

5.Slide and hold the POWER switch to turn on.

6.Set the battery type for the recorder to match the type of batteries you are using. (vP.65)
