1. Input

Audio input for recording are selected using the Input Menu.

If Input of menu is Auto and External MIC is connected, Recording source is External MIC. When LINE jack is connected, Recording source is LINE audio. When the both connected at the same time the External MIC is active as priority.

1.From Stop, press and hold the DISPLAY button for one second.

2.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select Preset Menu. Then press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept.

3.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select Preset 1, 2, 3 or renamed Preset. Then press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept the selected Preset.

4.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select “Edit” and press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept.

5.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select the Input item. Then press the 8 or 9 button to tab through the Input choices (Auto, INT MIC, MIC or LINE).

6.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select other Menu choices. When changing the Preset is complete, press the DISPLAY button to store the changes, or press the STOP/ CANCEL button to exit Menu mode without storing any changes.

2. Rec Format

The PMD620MKII can record in several compression algorithms. See explanation and chart below.

MP3-H : MP3 compression with 192kbps (Mono:96kbps)

MP3-M : MP3 compression with 128kbps (Mono:64kbps)

MP3-L : MP3 compression with 64kbps (Mono:32kbps)

PCM-16 : Linear PCM with 16-bit depth

PCM-24 : Linear PCM with 24-bit depth

2.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select Preset Menu. Then press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept.

3.Press the VOL+ or VOL– button to select Preset 1, 2, 3 or renamed Preset. Then press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept the selected Preset.

4.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select “Edit” and press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept.

5.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select the Rec Format item. Then press the 8 or 9 button to tab through the Rec Format choices (MP3-H, MP3-M, MP3-L, PCM-16 or PCM-24).

6.Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select other Menu choices. When changing the Preset is complete, press the DISPLAY button to store the changes, or press the STOP/ CANCEL button to exit Menu mode without storing any changes.
