Precaution when Using Flash

1.Flashunitscanbeattachedtothe camera’stripodsocketortotheacces- soryshoeofthehandgrip.

2.TheMamiya M645 hastwo sync terminalswhichareusedinthefollow- ingway:

(1)Whenusinganelectronicflash,plug thesynchronizationcordintotheXter- minalandsettheshutterspeeddialto 1/60sec.orlonger(1/30-8sec.).

(2)WhenusingFPflashbulbs,plugthe cordintotheFPsocketandsetthe shutterspeeddialto1/60sec.orshorter (1/125-1/1000sec.).

(3)ForMFandMbulbs,usetheXter- minalandsettheshutterspeeddialto 1/30sec.orlongerforMFbulbs,and 1/15sec.orlongerforM-typebulbs.

tThePrismandPDPrismFinderare equippedwithahot-shoeandoffer cordlessflashoperationforflashunits

thathaveahot-shoecontact.

*Iftheflashdurationofanelectronic flashislongerthan1/1000sec.(e.g. 1/600sec.)settheshutterspeeddialto 1/30sec.(not1/60sec.)orlonger. tWhenusingflash,carefullyreadthe instructionspackedwiththeflashbulbs orflashunittoavoidmakingerrors.

WhenusingtheX-syncterminalofthe camerabody,besuretoinsertthe plasticsafetycoverintothehot-shoe, andwhenusingthehot-shoe,besure

toinserttheappropriatesafetycover intotheX-syncterminal.Thisproce- durewillpreventthepossibilityofre- ceivinganelectricshockwhileanelec- tronicflashisattachedandaccidentally

touchingtheterminalnotbeingused.
