Whenthecameraismountedonatripodforcopyworkortelephotographyat long(slow)shutterspeeds,thesmallamountofvibrationsdueto”mirror-bounce”,

whichnormallyareofnoconsequence,maycauseblurringoftheimagedueto thehighmagnificationencounteredinextremeclose-upsandtelephotography. Mirrorshockcanbeeliminatedbylockingthemirrorintheuppositionbefore makingtheexposure.

1.Tolockthemirrorup,merelymovethemirrorlock-uplever(23)backwards, untilitishorizontal(thelevermaybeloweredeitherbeforeoraftercockingthe

shutter).

2.Withtheshuttercocked,releasetheshutterwithacablerelease.After releasingtheshutter,youmaywindthefilmadvancecrankwiththemirrorstill intheuppositionifyouwish.

*Returnthemirrortoitsnormalpositionimmediatelyaftercompletingallof yourmirrorlock-upphotography.

*Whenusingthe70mmf/2.8lens(w/between-the-lensshutter),besureto refertotheinstructionspackedwiththelens.
