Network Camera Settings

C PPP SET Settings

These settings are used in order to connect the camera to the Internet via a modem.

Note: When using modem connections, you cannot access the camera using a computer’s web

browser. You should normally connect the camera to a wired LAN or wireless LAN.

1 Install the Network Archiving software (sold separately) to the computer.

Refer to the documentation provided with the Network Archiving software for further details.

2 Set pin 1 of the PC/MODEM select switch at the rear of the camera to the “MODEM” setting.

3 Click the [PPP] button in the main menu.

The initial PPP SET window will be displayed.

4 Select “USE” from the [PPP USE] drop-down list box.

5 Type in the telephone number, login ID and password for the access point to connect to.

6 Type in the commands to use for controlling the modem.

Type in the commands starting with “AT” that are specified by the modem manufacturer in the [MODEM: INITIALIZE COMMAND] box, and also type in the command to change the flow control setting to software flow control in the same box.

Change any other settings as required using the drop-down list boxes.

7 Once you have finished changing the settings, click the [SET] button.
