Press the MENU button U and then press the Cursor buttons (341) R to select “Tape Library” and “Library contents” in this order.

To Delete the Tape Library Data
Caution:
The Tape Library system offers a convenient back-up option, in case you later regret having deleted the Tape Library data. To have this option available, make sure you know on which cassette you recorded last before the deletion. If that cassette is not available, record for at least 15 minutes on any cassette. (25 minutes in the EP mode)
Either of these two cassettes can then be used to restore the Tape Library that you have deleted.

To Delete the Tape Library Data of a Single Video Cassette
If you press the LIBRARY button M when no cassette is inserted, operation steps 1 and 2 below are not necessary. In this case, start from operation step 3.

Hint:

Even if you delete a cassette’s contents from the Tape Library while that cassette is in the VCR, this does not erase the actual programmes recorded on the cassette.

To Delete All the Tape Library Data Stored in the VCR’s Memory

1Press the MENU button U and then the Cursor button (34) R to select “Tape Library”.

2Press the Cursor buttons (14) R to select “Delete data”.

3Press the OK button T.

4Press the OK button T again.
