TA (Traffic Announcement)

In TA standby mode, when a traffic announcement broadcast starts, the traffic announcement broad- cast is received as top priority regardless of the function mode so you can listen to it. Traffic pro- gramme (TP) automatic tuning is also possible.

This function can only be used when “TP” is lit in the display. When “TP” is lit, this means that the broadcast station being received has traffic an- nouncement programmes.

The factory default setting is “OFF”.

Setting TA standby mode

Touch the [DAB MODE] key in the MENU display, the [TA] key appears in the display.

Touch the [TA] key and “TA OFF” switches to “TA ON”. The “TA” indication lights.

Cancelling TA standby mode

Touch the [TA] key and “TA ON” switches to “TA OFF”. The “TA” indication goes off.

Searching for a TP station

When “TP” is not lit, if you touch the [TA ON] key, the “TA” in the display lights and the unit auto- matically searches a TP station.

Information standby mode

When the INFORMATION programme selected in the “INFO SEL” display of the adjustment mode starts, the unit switches to the selected INFOR- MATION programme automatically.

For details on “Information select”, refer to the pro- cedure below.

1.Touch the [TA] key, for 1 second or longer, “INFO” lights in the display and the unit is set to Information standby mode until information starts.

If you touch the [TA] key while the INFORMA- TION programme is being broadcast, the pro- gramme broadcast is cancelled and the unit enters Information standby mode.

2.To cancel Information standby mode, touch the [TA] key again for 1 second or longer.

Information select

This function allows selecting a type of INFOR- MATION on INFORMATION interrupt mode. You can set any of the 6 types of INFO below:

TRAFFIC, WARNING, NEWS INFO, WEATHER, EVENTS, SP. EVENT

This function is enabled only when the panel is open.

1.Touch the MENU display switching touchkey when the MAIN display is showing and the

MENU display appears.

Press the [ADJ] button in the MENU display and the [INFORMATION SELECT] key ap- pears in the display.

2.Touch the [INFORMATION SELECT] key to select a desired INFORMATION.

3.Touch the [ON] or [OFF] key to select ON or OFF and to set it.

4.When the setting is finished, touch the [RTN] key to return to the STANDARD display.

PTY

This function enables you to listen to the selected programmes type, irrespective of the function mode.

You can select one PTY from DAB.

PTY broadcast are not yet available in all countries.

In INFO standby mode, INFO stations have priority over PTY stations.

In TA standby mode, TP stations have priority over PTY broadcasting station.

Selecting PTY

1.Touch the [PTY SELECT] key in the MENU display, the [PRESET] key is appeared.

When you touch the [PRESET] key, the unit goes into PTY select mode.

2.Press any one of the [DIRECT] buttons to se- lect the desired PTY.

Below are the factory default settings stored for [DIRECT] buttons.

3.The PTY select mode is cancelled automati- cally 7 seconds after a PTY is selected.

Cancelling PTY standby mode

Touch the [DAB MODE] key in the MENU display, the [PTY] key is appeared.

Touch the [PTY] key and “PTY ON” switches to “PTY OFF” and the PTY standby mode is can- celled.
