Before starting the procedure below, measure the distances from each speaker to the listening position.

For pair speakers such as front left and right speakers, the distance from the listening position to one speaker should be the same as the distance to the other.

In the procedure below, select the values which approximate the actual distances.

Setting the Distance From the Listening Position to Each Speaker

1	Press Distance.
Remote controller	The distance entry display for the front left
	and right speakers appears.

You cannot enter the following distances:

Up/Down	for the front speakers.
9	• Distances shorter than the distance
	obtained by subtracting “5 ft. (1.5 m)”
	from the distance entered for the front
	speakers.

Note

If you selected a speaker configuration with no

center speaker on the opposite page, this step will be skipped.

4	Press CH Sel, then press

■Changing the units of measurement

You can change the units of measurement while setting the distance. Press the Display button on the remote controller to select between meters and feet.
