CD operation / CD changer operation

SCAN

Use this function to scan all of the CD tracks.

To start the Scan function:

Press SCA briefly, the display will indi- cate “SCAN”.

The titles will be scanned one after the oth- er in ascending order.

To stop the Scan function:

Press SCA once again briefly.

The track currently scanned will continue to play.

SCAN will also stop if you press the rocker switch, MIX, RPT, DSC, AUD, TU or CDC.

Entering CD names

You can enter names for up to 30 discs and in changer operation for up to 99 discs.

The specified name (e.g. VIVALDI) will ap- pear in the display if you have selected the corresponding display mode with DIS.

To start the entry:

Press the DSC button and press / as often as necessary until “CD- NAME” appears in the display.

Press << >>.

The position for the first character will begin to flash.

Use the rocker switch / to select the first character.

The capital letters A to Z, the numbers 0 to 9 and special characters will be listed one after the other.

Use the rocker switch << >> to move to the next position and select a char- acter.

You can select up to eight characters in this way.

Once you have completed the name as de- sired:

Press ENT in order to store it. To quit the naming mode,

leave the DSC menu by pressing DSC. If you would like to name another CD,

insert a new disc for CD operation

Or

press << / >> for changer operation

and press / to select another CD in the magazine.

You can change any existing name by en- tering and storing a new one (overwriting).

Deleting CD names/TPM with

DSC UPDATE

Use the UPDATE feature to delete the CD names and the TPM at the same time.

You can delete the name stored for the CD in the CD drive and its TPM with “CLR DISC”.

Use “CLR ALL” to delete the names and TPM for all of the CDs.

Insert the CD for which you want to delete the name into the CD drive.

Press DSC.

Press / as many times as required until “UPDATE” appears in the display.

Press >> to select “CLR DISC” if you want to delete the name and TPM of that CD,

or

Press << to select “CLR ALL” to delete the names and TPM stored for all of the CDs.

Press ENT for approx. 1 second. “DELETING” will appear briefly in the display.

The deletion process is complete.

To return to “UPDATE” in the DSC menu without deleting the CD names and TPM:

Press ENT.
