RESET switch
Initial System Start-Up
Be sure to press the RESET switch when using the unit for the first time, after installing the CD changer, etc., or after changing the car battery.
1 Make sure that the power of the unit is off. If it is on, press and hold SOURCE/POWER for at least 3 seconds to turn off the unit.
2 Press the RESET switch with a ballpoint pen, or any other pointed object.
Turning Power On and Off
Press SOURCE/POWER to turn on the unit.
•The unit can be turned on by pressing any other button except CD c, CST c and TITLE 
.
Press and hold SOURCE/POWER for at least 3 seconds to turn off the unit.
•Controllable with Remote Control
•Point the optional remote control transmitter at the remote control sensor.

Adjusting Volume/Balance (Between Left and

Defeat
1 Press Rotary encoder repeatedly to choose the desired mode.
Each press changes the modes as follows:

Balance : L15 ~ R15
Fader: R15 ~ F15
Press gor fafter selecting the Subwoofer mode, and the subwoofer output phase is toggled NORMAL (PHASE 0°) or REVERSE (PHASE 180°).
•If Rotary encoder is not pressed within 5 seconds after selecting the BALANCE, FADER, DEFEAT or SUBWOOFER mode, the unit automatically returns to the VOLUME mode.
•* When the subwoofer mode is OFF, its level cannot be adjusted.
2 Turn the Rotary encoder until the desired sound is obtained in each mode.
By setting Defeat ON, previously adjusted settings of EQ will return to the factory defaults, and MX will be turned off.
•Depending on the connected devices, some functions and display indications do not work.
Audio Mute Function
Activating this function will instantly lower the volume level by 20 dB.
Press MUTE to activate the MUTE mode.
The audio level will decrease by about 20 dB.
Pressing MUTE again will bring the audio back to its previous level.
