Searching by Title/Group/Folder Number

Use this function to easily find positions on the DVD using the DVD’s title/group/folder.

1 When playback stops, input the number of the title/ group/folder you want to play back by using the numeric keypad (“0” to “9”).

2 Press ENT.

Playback starts from the selected title/group/folder number.

Press CLR to delete the last digit in the title/group/folder number. Press and hold CLR for at least 2 seconds to clear all title/group/ folder numbers.

Press RETURN to cancel the title/group/folder search mode.

Depending on the number of digits input, playback may start automatically even if ENT. is not pressed in step 2.

Playback starts from the beginning of the chapter/track number in the state of PRE-STOP.

Searching Directly by Chapter/Track/File Number

Use this function to easily move to the beginning of the chapters, tracks or files on the disc.

Recalling a Title/Folder/Chapter, etc. Number using the LIST Button

1 Press LIST during playback.

The numeric keypad input mode to be searched is activated.

2 Input the title/group/folder/chapter/track/file/ programme/playlist number you want to play back by using the numeric keypad (“0” to “9”).

3 Press ENT.

Playback starts from the selected title/group/folder/ chapter/track/file/programme/playlist number.

• Depending on the input digit number, step 3 may not be necessary.

Repeat Playback

Use this function to play the disc’s titles, chapters, tracks, etc. repeatedly.

During playback, press REPEAT.

The repeat mode switches each time the button is pressed.

1 Input the chapter, track or file number you want to play back by using the numeric keypad (“0” to “9”) except when the unit stops playback.

2 Press ENT.

Playback starts from the selected chapter, track or file.

This function cannot be used on discs on which no chapter numbers are recorded.

Depending on the number of digits input, playback may start automatically even if ENT. is not pressed in step 2.

Press CLR to delete the last digit in the chapter/track/file number. Press and hold CLR for at least 2 seconds to clear “Chapter”, “Track” or “File” numbers.

During stop, search can be made for Video CD.

The beginning of a track number cannot be directly found on the Video CD equipped with PBC (playback control). Set VCD PLAY MODE to turn the PBC function off. Refer to “Setting the Video CD Play Mode” (page 22).
