b) To activate the EFR CODEC

With the display clear perform the follow- ing key press sequence:

*3370# or *EFR0#

i.e. press the "*" key, then the "3" key and

so on...

Notes to a) and b)

i)Immediately after pressing *3370# (or #3370#) the phone will automatically power itself off and then on again - this is NORMAL and also serves to indicate that deactivation (or activation) has occurred. During the automatic power off/on se- quence the LCD display will become clear, the back lights will switch off and then the display will come back on.

ii)If during activation/deactivation the

wrong key is pressed, clear the wrong entry

by pressing the

key.

 

iii) If at any time you choose to quit the

process then press and hold the

key.

you may wish to store the above activa- tion/deactivation sequences in the phone- book.

To save the activation sequence to the phonebook, the name MUST be entered first otherwise deactivation or activation of the EFR codec will occur.
