Life Fitness X8 manual Powering UP the CROSS-TRAINER

Page 21

After adjusting the levelers, tighten the jam nuts (B) against the stabilizer to lock the levelers in place.

Note: A common noise source on the cross-trainer is the failure to have all four wheels completely off the foor and the jam nuts on the levelers tightened.

POWERING UP THE CROSS-TRAINER

Your Life Fitness cross-trainer may come with either a U.S. power cord or one of several international power cords. Insert the appropri- ate power cord into the connector (C) on the back of the cross-train- er. Then insert the plug into the wall outlet. Make sure the cord is placed so it doesn't bind and will not be walked on. Turn the power switch to on. Once the unit is turned on the cross-trainer’s stride length will auto-calibrate. Wait one minute to allow for the calibration to complete. Then check that both the main LCD display and activity zone LCD light up. If not, recheck the plug and the wall connections and make sure the wall outlet has power. If still not working properly, check the connections made in Steps 4 and 8.
