4.Grounding
Grounding (earth) connections must be provided and installed in accordance with state and local codes. In the absence of the codes, grounding must conform to applicable requirements of the National Electric Code ANSI/NFPA NO.70LATEST EDITION, or in CANADA, the Canadian Electrical Codes Parts 1 & 2 CSA
NOTE: A grounding connection (terminal lug) is provided in the dryer's electrical service/relay box at the rear.
For added personal safety, when possible, it is suggested that a separate ground wire (sized per local codes) be connected from the ground connection of the dryer to a grounded cold water pipe. DO NOT ground to a gas or hot water pipe. The grounded cold water pipe must have metal to metal connections all the way to electrical ground. If there are any
IMPORTANT: For personal safety and proper operation, the dryer must be grounded. For proper operation of the microprocessor (computer), an earth (zero) ground is required.
NOTE: Grounding via metallic electrical conduit (pipe) is not recommended.
