To set Alarm Volume: Press to VOLUME. Press or to move the bar. The left end of the scale is low volume; the right end is high volume. Af- ter the option is set, press EXITEXIT to return to the page display.

To set Alarm Style: Press to ALARM STYLEENT. Press or to change the style, then press ENT. After the option is set, press EXITEXIT to return to the page display.

Track Smoothing

Track Smoothing prevents wandering of trails, the steering arrow, compass rose and plotter display in track-up mode.

To turn on/off track smoothing:

1.Press MENUMENU, highlight GPS SETUP and press

ENTER.

2.Select TRACK SMOOTHING and press ENTER.

Trail Options

There are several options you can use with trails. Some affect all trails, other options can be applied to a particular trail. You can change the way trails are updated, you can display or hide trails, create a new trail, delete a trail, etc.

To access the Trails Menu:

1.Press MENUMENUto MY TRAILSENT.

Delete All Trails

To remove all of the trails from memory: from the Trails Menu, press to DELETE ALLENTto YESENT.

WARNING:

If you uncheck the Update Trail option, automatic trail creation and recording will be turned off. You must turn it back on to record trails. The default setting is on.

Update Trail Option

This menu lets you change the way the trail updates occur.

To turn on/off active trail:

1.From the Trails Menu, press to OPTIONSENT. With UPDATE ACTIVE TRAIL highlighted, press ENT to check it (turn on) and uncheck it (turn off).

Update Trail Criteria (Auto, Time, Distance)

The options are automatic, time, or distance. When it's in the default automatic mode, the unit doesn't update the plot trail while you're
