9.5XTE (Cross Track Error) Alarm

The XTE alarm warns you when your boat is off its intended course. When the XTE alarm is active, two red dashed lines mark the XTE alarm area.

How the XTE alarm works

1.Press the [ALARM] key to open the alarm menu.

2.Press ▲ or ▼ to select XTE ALARM.

3.Press the EDIT soft key to open the XTE alarm window.

4.Press ▲ to select ON.

5.Key in the alarm range desired. The XTE alarm range is 0.001 to 9.999 miles.

6.Press the ENTER soft key or the [ENTER] key to register your selection.

9.6Speed Alarm

The speed alarm warns you when your boat’s speed is within, over/under or under the speed range set.

1.Press the [ALARM] key to open the alarm menu.

2.Press ▲ or ▼ to select SPEED ALARM.

9.7Proximity Alarm

The proximity alarm alerts you when your vessel nears a waypoint by the distance set for that waypoint on the waypoint list. This distance is called the proximity alarm radius. The waypoint having a proximity alarm radius is shown with . You can globally activate or deactivate the proximity alarm here.

1.Press the [ALARM] key to open the alarm menu.

2.Press ▲ or ▼ to select PROXIMITY ALARM.

3.Press the EDIT soft key to show the proximity alarm window.
