Listening to dual mono soundtracks
You can specify how dual mono encoded Dolby Digital soundtracks should be played. Dual mono is not widely used, but is sometimes necessary when two languages need to be sent to separate channels.
1Press OPTION repeatedly to select DUAL MONO. The remote control menu for this step is shown below (see note at the start of this chapter if you need help).

2Use the (OPTION) +/– buttons to change the setting.
•CH1 – Only channel 1 is played
•CH2 – Only channel 2 is played
•CH1/CH2 – Both channels are played through the front speakers
Note
•On the CH1 and CH2 settings the sound comes only from the center speaker (or from the front speakers if NO was selected for the center speaker setting).
•This setting works only with dual mono encoded Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks.
•When listening to a dual mono source, the L and R indicators on the front panel flash. The channel you select will light in the display.
