As a permanently fixed heating appliance in outdoor areas only. Complies with CSA

 

International Requirement 4.96 U.S. for Outdoor Gas Fireplaces.

General Description

Open fronted radiant/convector outdoor gas fireplace with manual control.

 

Available in 3 versions:

 

Freestanding table top unit, ROF4500

 

Open 1-sided cabinet, ROF4501 (with optional glass bi-fold doors)

 

Open 2-sided cabinet, ROF4502 (see-through) (with optional glass bi-fold doors)

Gas Input

Propane (LPG): 30,500 - 41,500 BTU/hr; Natural Gas (NG): 25,000 - 45,000 BTU/hr

 

Maximum Inlet Gas Supply Pressure: LPG 13” W.C. / NG 10.5” W.C.

Gas Control

Gas control valve consisting of an inlet connection, Piezo ignitor, thermocouple flame

 

failure and manual control knob.

Ignition Method

Intermittent pilot

 

 

Pilot

SIT single orifice pilot assembly with fixed aeration and replaceable fixed pilot orifice for

 

conversion to natural gas. Pilot assembly also contains a pilot ignition electrode and

 

thermocouple for flame failure.

Piping

Burner is supplied through an aluminum pipe from the gas control to the burner orifice

 

block.

 

Pilot burner is supplied gas by an aluminum pipe directly from the gas control.

Pressure Test Point

Incorporated into the main burner orifice block measuring burner pressure.

 

 

Regulator

Pressure regulator with replaceable spring for conversion to natural gas

 

 

Warm Air Outlet

Top louver discharge

Troubleshooting

If using a tank or bottle, check that it is not empty.

 

 

Air in gas pipe

Repeat the lighting sequence multiple times until the

 

 

 

gas has replaced the air in the hose or pipe.

 

 

 

Popping sound

Unburnt gas coming through

No action, normal operation

 

 

 

Burner does not

Residue of gas in pumice

No action, normal operation
