Before Starting the Appliance

Remove the weather cover.

Completely open the door (if present).

Operating the Appliance

1.Turn on the gas supply.

2.Press the control knob and slowly turn counterclockwise until you hear a click. This step is “lighting to pilot”. Look for the pilot flame.

3.Hold down for an additional 5 seconds to activate the flame and then release.

NOTE: Steps 1 and 2 may need to be repeated several times to ignite the fire. This will vary according to the gas being used.

4.Once the heater is on, turn the knob to the high setting for a period of time in order to establish a flame pattern. You can modulate the flame by adjusting between the high and low settings.

5.To turn off, press the control knob and turn clockwise to the OFF position. When shutting down the appliance it is important to cover the appliance with the weather cover after it has cooled down.
