GAIN / POS

The Gain/Pos (F3) function key toggles the Left and Right arrow keys to control the horizontal position and range on the CE4000 display. Pressing the Gain/Pos (F3) key once will display Gain next to the screen name (upper left portion of the screen), highlighted by a green background (Figure 3-16), and will allow the Right and Left arrow keys to sequence through the horizontal gain ranges. The CE4000 full scale ranges are 100, 250, 500, 1300, 2700 and 5500 feet or 30, 76, 152, 396, 822 and 1676 meters.

Pressing the Gain/Pos (F3) key a second time will display “Pos” next to the screen name (upper left portion of the screen), highlighted by a green background (Figure 3-17), and will allow the Right and Left arrow keys to slide the horizontal scale to the left or right on the display increasing or decreasing the full scale value, but not changing the range. POS allows the user to re- position the trace on the display.
