TESTING THE HEADSET OR HANDSET

1If you are using a handset, use the installation instructions that come with the handset kit to install the handset cradle.

2Plug in the headset or the handset, press a call appearance button, and listen for dial tone.

If you do not hear dial tone, press another call appearance button. You may also want to check that the cords are connected securely at both ends.

LABELING AND INSTALLING THE BUTTON-DESIGNATION STRIPS

1Make sure that the voice terminal is right side up.

2Type or write the numbers/features on the button designation strips with the appropriate button information.

3Crease the perforated edges of the button designation strips and then tear out the button designation strips.

4Install the strips by sliding them down into the correct button column slots, as shown in Figure 5.
