5230 IP Appliance User Guide

To connect a local power supply

1.Plug the power supply in a suitable power outlet.

2.Connect an RJ-45 (Ethernet) cable between the LAN connector at the back of the 5230 IP Appliance and the phone connector of the power supply.

3.Connect the LAN RJ-45 (Ethernet) cable to the LAN connector of the power supply.

To remove a local power supply

1.Remove the RJ-45 (Ethernet) cable between the LAN connector at the back of the 5230 IP Appliance and the phone connector of the power supply.

2.Remove the LAN RJ-45 (Ethernet) cable from the LAN connector of the power supply, and connect it to the LAN connector at the back of the 5230 IP Appliance.

3.Unplug the power supply.

For example, someone calling Mitel Networks from the UK must dial:

001 1 (613) 592-2122

Note: In this example, the spaces and parentheses are there for visual convenience. You could also write 011.1.613.592.2122, or 01116135922122, or any other way you prefer.

Unless you are making an international call, you do not need to enter all these digits. For example, if you are calling a number with the same National Direct Dialing prefix, you only need to dial the area code and the local number.
