Notes:

You must enter two digits for the month, date, hour, and minute.

The clock uses the 12-hour format.

Follow these steps to set the time and date.

1.Press CLOCK/FORWARD. SET DATE/

TIME 00:00 6 00:00 AM appears.

2.Enter the desired values. The telephone rings after you enter the last setting.

Notes:

The phone automatically sets the year when you enter the month, date, and day.

When you make an invalid entry (such as 13 for the month), the phone rings and the display shows the previously stored time and date. If this happens, simply start from Step 1.

If you make a mistake when entering the date and time, simply start from Step 1.

ENABLING AND DISABLING TELEPHONE LINES

Follow these steps to enable or disable tele- phone lines.

Note: If you do not have four subscribed telephone lines for the phone, be sure to dis- able the unused line. Otherwise, records from the active lines may be recorded on the unused line.

1.Press PROGRAM. MEMORY appears.

2.Press and #.

3.Press the number key 1, 2, 3, or 4 to select the telephone line you want to enable or disable.

4.Press 1 to enable or 0 to disable the telephone line.

5.Press HOLD. The phone beeps once.

SETTING THE AREA CODE

Note: If you do not complete each step with- in 30 seconds, the phone exits programming. Start again at Step 1.

1.Press PROGRAM. MEMORY appears.

2.Enter a 3-digit area code.

3.Press HOLD. The phone rings once.

To delete the area code, press PROGRAM then HOLD. The phone rings once.

ADJUSTING THE RINGER VOLUME

Your phone has four ringer volume levels for each line — off, low, middle, and high. Follow these steps to adjust the ringer volume when the phone is not being used.

1.Press CONFERENCE.

2.Press 1, 2, 3, or 4 on the keypad to select the desired phone line.

3.Press VOLUME 8 or VOLUME 9 to adjust the ringer volume.

To turn off the ringer volume, repeatedly press VOLUME 9 until the ringing stops.

To adjust a line's ringer volume when that line rings, simply press VOLUME 8 or VOLUME 9.

Note: If there is more than one line ring-

ing at the same time, pressing VOLUME 8 or VOLUME 9 adjusts the ringer vol- ume for each line that is ringing.
