Layer 3 does not initialize:

•Verify that the correct SPID number is programmed.

•Verify with the serving telco that they have not changed from a customized to a universal SPID format.

•Verify with the serving telco that they have not changed their office to a new area code (some SPID formats include the area code).

•Enter the correct SPID or SPID format.

With full initialization, proceed to the following steps.

Verify operation of the telephone by accomplishing the following:

1.Access an idle line.

•Does the line LED indicate active status?

•Is dial tone heard?

2.Dial any directory number for a test call.

•Did the call go through?
