Using the Advanced Features of Your Phone

This chapter provides operating instructions for the advanced features of the

SoundPoint IP 450 desktop phone. This chapter contains instructions on:

•Using Multiple Call Appearances

•Using Text Messaging

•Using Buddy Lists

•Restarting Your Phone

To customize your phone, refer to Customizing Your Phone on page 2-1. To read about the phone’s basic features, refer to Using the Basic Features of Your Phone on page 3-1.

If you require additional information or assistance with your new phone, contact your system administrator.

Using Multiple Call Appearances

When multiple call appearances is set up, you can see information for more than one call at one time. For example, if you have an active call, you can see information for an incoming call as well.

For example, the following figure shows an active call with Tom Davis on line 3163.
