A valid speed dial index is any unused number from 1 to 9999.

To assign a new speed dial key:

A new empty entry in the contact directory is automatically opened allowing contact information to be added.

Use the 1/A/a soft key to select between numeric and upper/lower case alphanumeric modes.

Use the Encoding soft key to access special characters in other languages.

The number must be unique (not already in the directory).

Enter a contact string where:

The number must be unique “p” indicates 1 second delay “,” indicates a 2 second delay

For example, your organization voice mail system is accessible through 7700 and your voice mail password is 2154. If you enter “7700,,,2154” as the contact string, you could use the speed dial key to access your voice mail.

5.Change the Speed Dial Index field.

The index can be any value between the next available index value and the maximum (value of 9999).

Polycom recommends that you assign speed dial index values consecutively.

For example, if you assign the third Line Key to the speed dial index value “2”, assign the fourth Line Key to the speed dial index value “3”.

6.Press the Save soft key to accept your changes.

7.Press to return to the idle screen.
