Preparation

Dialing mode

If you cannot make calls, change this setting according to your telephone line service. The default setting is "Tone". "Tone": For tone dial service.

"Pulse": For rotary/pulse dial service.

1 [MENU] _ [0][5][1]

2 [,]/[A]: Select the desired setting.

3 [Save] _ [OFF]

Date and time

Set the correct date and time.

-To use the available alarm function (page 29).

-When you play back a message from the answering system (page 31), the unit announces the day and time it was recorded.

2Enter the current month, day, and year by selecting 2 digits for each. Example: August !5, 2007

[0][8] [1][5] [0][7]

3Enter the current hour and minute

(! 2-hour clock format) by selecting 2 digits for each.

Example: 9:30 [0][9] [3][0]

4[AM/PM]: Select "AM" or "PM".

5[Save] _ [OFF]

Note:

If you make a mistake when entering the date and time, press [4], [_], [A], or [v] to move the cursor, then make the correction.

The date and time may be incorrect after a power failure. In this case, set the date and time again.
