Useful Information

I cannot make long distance calls.

I cannot page the handset or base unit.

The Slow Talk feature does not work.

Caller ID

The handset does not display the calleCs name and/or phone number,

The handset or base unit does not announce the displayed caller names or phone numbers.

Make sure that you have long distance service.

The called handset is too far from the base unit.

The called unit is in use. Try again later.

If you are on a conference call, you cannot use the Slow Talk feature.

You have not subscribed to Caller ID service. Contact your telephone service provider to subscribe.

If your unit is connected to any additional telephone equipment such as a Caller ID box or cordless telephone line jack, disconnect the unit from the equipment and plug the unit directly into the wail jack.

If your unit is connected to a telephone line with DSL service, we recommend connecting a noise filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Contact your DSL provider for details.

The name display service may not be available in some areas. Contact your telephone service provider for details.

Other telephone equipment may be interfering with this unit. Disconnect the other equipment and try again.

The caller requested not to send caller information (page 22).

Generally, caller information is displayed from the 2nd ring.

The handset or base unit% ringer volume is turned off. Adjust it (page 16, 28).

The Talking Caller ID feature is turned off. Turn it on (page 28).

The ring count for the answering system is set to "2"

or "Toll saver". Select a different setting (page 34).

If the base unit and another handset are having an intercom call, your handset does not announce caller information.
