Multi-unit Operation

Intercom

Intercom calls can be made:

-between handsets

-between the handset and base unit

Note:

If you receive an outside call while

talking on the intercom, you hear 2 tones.

To answer the call with the handset, press [OFF], then press [_%].

To answer the call with the base unit, press [SP-PHONE] 2 times.

You can locate a misplaced handset by paging it (handset Iocator).

When paging a unit for an intercom

call, the paged unit beeps for ! minute.

Answering an intercom call

1 Press [_%] or [<-] to answer the page.

2 When you finish talking, press

[OFF].

1 Press [SP-PHONE] or [LOCATOR/ INTERCOM] to answer the page.

2 When you finish talking, press

[SP-PHONE].

Note for handset and base unit:

When the ringer volume is set to off, the handset orthe base unit rings at a low level for intercom calls.

Making an intercom call

1[INTERCOM]

2[v]/[A]: Select the desired unit.

[Select]

• To stop paging, press [OFF].

3 When you finish talking, press

[OFF].

1[LOCATOR/INTERCOM]

2To page a specific handset, enter its extension number ([1] - [4]).

To page all handsets, press [0] or wait for a few seconds.

To stop paging, press [LOCATOR/ INTERCOM].

3When you finish talking, press

[SP-PHONE].

Transferring calls, conference calls

Outside calls can be transferred

between the handset and base unit, or between 2 handsets. The handset and

base unit, or 2 handsets can have a conference call with an outside party.

1 During an outside call, press [INTERCOM] to put the call on hold.

2 [v]/[A]: Select the desired unit.

[Transfer]

3Wait for the paged party to answer.

If the paged party does not answer,

press [_%] to return to the outside call.

4To complete the transfer: Press [OFF].

The outside call is being routed to the unit.
