Useful Information

I cannot set the alarm.

While programming, the handset starts to ring.

Battery recharge

I fully charged the battery, but continues to flash, or r--R, is displayed.

The handset display is blank.

While charging, the charge indicator does not light and "Charge for 7h" is displayed.

In order to set the alarm, you must first set the date and time (page 14).

The handset has lost communication with the base unit. Move closer to the base unit, and try again.

A call is being received. Answer the call and start again after hanging up.

Clean the charge contacts and charge again (page 11).

The battery may need to be replaced with a new one (page 10).

Confirm that the battery is properly installed.

Fully charge the battery (page 10).

The battery is empty. The charge indicator does not light in order to concentrate on charging. After about 5 minutes, the charge indicator lights and "Charging"

is displayed.

Making/answering calls, intercom

Static is heard, sound cuts in and out. Interference from other electrical units.

The handset and base

unit do not ring.

I cannot make a call.

I cannot have a

conversation using the headset.

Move the handset and base unit away from other electrical appliances.

Move closer to the base unit.

Turn on the clarity booster feature (page 18).

If your unit is connected to a telephone line with DSL service, we recommend connecting a noise filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Contact your DSL provider for details.

The ringer volume is turned off. Adjust it (page !6, 28).

The dialing mode may be set incorrectly. Change the setting (page 14).

The base unit or another handset is in use. Try again later.

Make sure that an optional headset is connected properly (page 42).

If _'SP-phone"iS displayed on the handset, press [_'%]to switch to the headset.
